Since Apple’s launch of its iPhone, the company has been characterized by being at the forefront, and, in the case of telecommunications, it hasn’t lagged behind. The iPhone is one of the cell phones with the greatest compatibility with the eSIM technology.
With the arrival of the iPhone XS and its different versions, the Cupertino-based brand fulfilled two goals; firstly, to bring the eSIM or virtual SIM, and secondly, to offer the possibility to have two SIM cards working simultaneously.
If you’re interested in knowing which Apple cell phones already support the eSIM technology, we’ll tell you everything about it in this article.
1. iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR
Those who are familiar with the iPhone know that this tech giant usually includes different versions. In this case, in 2018, Apple decided to launch the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR models. The iPhone XS is the standard version, the iPhone XS Max includes better features, and the iPhone XR is the budget version with reduced features. All three iPhone models include the eSIM technology.
2. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max
The iPhone 11 was released in 2019 and, as usual, its launch took place in September. Along with it also came the iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max in different storage capacities. 4. iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 Mini
With the Covid 19 pandemic, the launch of this cell phone was delayed for a month, with October 2020 being the chosen date. The upgrade of the iPhone 12 is the LiDAR sensor and the new Mini version. All four iPhone 12 models include the eSIM technology with the same features.

Keeping the same design as the iPhone 8, the iPhone SE (2022) also includes the eSIM technology and the features of the iPhone 13 eSIM, with the option to activate two eSIMs at the same time.
